Having bagged two Grammys this year Adele's success in the States hasn't been limited to the music scene. The London-born songstress, who describes her music as "heartbroken soul", is set to step into Victoria Beckham's Louboutins with a guest appearance on hit fashion industry satire Ugly Betty.

The 20-year-old artiste will play herself in an episode entitled In the Stars in which the lead character, played by America Ferrera, oversees a photo shoot that turns into an impromptu wedding.

The TV cameo follows an appearance in the US version of Vogue, styled by legendary editor Anna Wintour, an experience that Adele described as like being in the film The Devil Wears Prada.

"It was amazing. I was really frightened and I went in and she was so nice.

"She asked, 'What labels do you like?'. I was trying to make up these designers that I was quite sure I had read (about) in Vogue," confessed the rising star.

In June the wunderkind has another thrilling assignment. She's due to team up with Etta James, topping the bill in the Hollywood Bowl alongside the At Last (My Love Has Come Along) singer.
