Anyone seeing Paul McCartney with his beautiful American companion Nancy Shevell can be in no doubt that he's found true contentment. Nevertheless, his beloved wife Linda, who passed away 11 years ago on April 17, is still in his thoughts. Her memory was clearly the inspiration for his epic 35-song set at the Coachella festival set in a scorching plain near Palm Springs. "She loved the desert, she loved rock 'n' roll, she loved all those things," explained the star. The electrifying performance coupled with the sultry desert air seemed to have a romantic effect on the A-list contingent in the audience.

Among them was Brokeback Mountain heartthrob Jake Gyllenhaal, seen stealing a kiss and a cuddle from his girlfriend Reese Witherspoon. David Hasselhoff was also pictured smooching with a lovely brunette friend in between enjoying the music, while High School Musical sweethearts Zac Efron and his girl Vanessa Hudgens looked as loved up ever.

And newly single Lindsay Lohan was getting back into the dating game. The starlet was flirting with a good-looking young guy, whom she invited back to her penthouse suite when the sun went down.
