Katie Price summoned all of her determination to finish the London Marathon at the weekend, even though she was suffering from a painful knee injury. The model - aka Jordan - limped over the finishing line supported by husband Peter Andre, seven hours and 11 minutes after starting the race.

"I am absolutely over the moon," said the 30-year-old, who badly twisted her knee 18 miles into the 26 mile race. "My knee was hurting, but there was no way I was going to stop."

"I was in agony, but Harvey's face on my T-shirt got me through," she continued referring to the picture of her elder son which she had pinned to her top. "I'm proud of what we achieved."

The 30-year-old mum-of-three – who completed the course to raise funds for a children's charity -had her leg strapped twice, and managed to finish despite falling again in an underpass at 23 miles.

Other famous faces among the 35,000 runners included Boyzone singer Ronan Keating, TV presenter Jenni Falconer and Katie's training partner, celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay.

The fiery cuisine whiz completed his tenth consecutive marathon in a respectable four hours five minutes, but admitted: "That was definitely the most difficult."

Ronan, who came in just behind at four hours 15 minutes, said: "It hurt the whole way round." His bandmate Keith Duffy, model Nell McAndrew, 35, and Olympic gold medal-winning cyclist Chris Boardman were other famous faces cheered on by almost a million spectators.
