While his estranged wife Katie Price has cancelled two weeks' of appointments Pete Andre has been keeping a low profile at the family's Surrey mansion.
Following a statement telling of her heartbreak about Pete's decision to seek a divorce, the model-turned-businesswoman has reportedly been texting and phoning her husband from a secret location, begging for a reconciliation.
Katie – aka Jordan– is thought to have left the country with the couple's two children Junior, who'll be four in June, and Princess Tiaamii, nearly three. Her destination may be Cyprus, where the couple have a £1.2 million home. Harvey, her seven-year-old son from a previous relationship, is at his school in Kent.
According to reports the pop pin-up is refusing to talk about the status of their relationship. "(That's) really upsetting Katie," one source tells the Mirror. "They're still civil and talking, but it's all about their children now."
Meanwhile a man pictured getting close to the former glamour model during a night on the town last weekend has spoken out to say it was all harmless fun.
"We were having a perfectly innocent fun night out," said Spencer Wilton, a friend from Katie's equestrian activities, adding that he's gay and has a partner.
The revelation may not be enough to save the couple's relationship. Six months ago Pete poured out his heart in song lyrics which seemed to indicate trouble was already brewing.
He wrote: "She was my girl, my closest friend, my honey/This girl was all I ever needed/What will I do now that I'm leaving?/It hurts bad cos I was true to her/I'm regretting having anything to do with her."
