With so many distracting potential pals in sight, keeping her pug-cross pooch Alfie under control proved a little tricky for GMTV's Jenni Falconer as she joined fellow famous pet owners at the Dog Trust Honours in London on Tuesday.

Also prouldy showing off their 'best friend' was animal-lover Trinny Woodall – who has several dogs, including her companion on the day, Terrier cross Poppy. Tamara Ecclestone were there, too, as was TV interior designer Linda Barker, who cuddled up with her pet dachshund Tiger Lily. All were on hand to pay tribute to stars of the doggy world.

The winners of this year's accolades were chosen from hundreds of entries by a judging panel featuring Kirsty Gallacher and Paul O' Grady, who often brings two of his three beloved pups, Shih Tzu/Bichon Frise crossbreed Buster and Olga the Cairn Terrie, onto his TV show.
