Katie Price is due to fly home from the Maldives on Thursday night for talks with her estranged husband Peter Andre the following day - her 31st birthday.
Her 36-year-old spouse has already returned from a break with his family in Cyprus. He's staying with Katie's former manager.
Katie – aka Jordan – has had the security alarm code changed on the couple's £3 million Surrey home and the singer's belongings removed from the property.
"Kate says she wants to save her marriage, but insists she's ready to move on if they can't work things out," says a friend of the glamour model.
Meanwhile Pete is reported to be desperate to see the couple's children – three-year-old Junior and Princess Tiaamii, two – who accompanied their mum to the Maldives – and Harvey, Katie's seven-year-old son from a previous relationship.
"Pete’s main priority now is to see his children and spend some much-needed time with them. Aside from this, he is house-hunting, looking for a place to rent with an option on it to buy," says a source close to the singer.
Meanwhile Andrew Gould, the dressage coach pictured with Katie in photos believed to be at the centre of the marriage breakdown, has offered to meet with Pete to put his mind at rest.
"I think Kate needs to sit down and talk with Peter," the 36-year-old says. "Meet me man to man… and I'll save your marriage," he urges Pete.
