Bystanders said Angelina Jolie was visibly moved as she toured paediatric wards in earthquake-stricken Haiti. But the actress, visiting the capital of Port-au-Prince in her capacity as a UN Goodwill Ambassador, had her best smile ready for the children.

The 34-year-old Hollywood star seemed particularly taken with one little boy, a ten-year-old who had lost a limb in the earthquake which struck on January 12. Angelina, whose Jolie-Pitt Foundation donated $1 million to help rebuild the country, earlier discussed relief aid with Dominican Republic president Leonel Fernandez. And if reports are to be believed, she also talked about the possibility of adopting a Haitian child from one of the refugee camps in the neighbouring country.

The actress is said to be keen to add a seventh child to her family and feels it would be the perfect way to help. In addition to their biological children, Angelina and Brad Pitt have three adopted kids. Eight-year-old Maddox, who comes from Cambodia, Zahara, five, from Ethiopia and Pax, six from Vietnam.
