Denise Van Outen and Natasha Kaplinsky were among the celebrity mums-to-be and new mums putting their best bumps forward for Sport Relief in London on Thursday. The pair joined the likes of pregnant ex-EastEnders actress Kim Medcalf and footballer Joe Cole's expecting wife Carly Zucker in Battersea Park to walk the 'Bumps and Babies Mile'. The gaggle of pregnant stars and new mums, which also included BBC Radio 6 DJ Nemone and Olympic medal-winning badminton player Gail Emms, were aiming to prove that everyone of all levels of fitness can rise to the challenge of the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile. The event, which is set to take place at 16 sites across the UK on 21 March, encourages to people to get sponsored and raise money for Sport Relief by running or walking a mile-long course.

"A group of heavily pregnant women and power pramming mums waddling around Battersea Park will probably be quite amusing, but it will prove that anyone and everyone can join in the fun and rise to the challenge by getting sponsored to do the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile," said Denise, who assembled the stars for the event. The presenter, who is thought to have been replaced by Charlotte Church on Andrew Lloyd Webber's new BBC TV contest, urged everyone to sign up and do their bit during Sport Relief Weekend, which takes place from Friday 19 March to Sunday 21 March. All the cash raised by the public will help transform the lives of those living in hardship across the UK and in the world’s poorest countries.
