It's a matter of months now until the new instalment in the Twilight saga hits cinemas. But for the many die-hard followers of the series – who were treated to the second film, New Moon, as recently as November – that is just too long to wait.
Fans of Edward Cullen, Bella Swan and Jacob Black were rewarded this week with a sneak peek at the next movie thanks to a new 10 second trailer for Eclipse. Opening with a shot of Edward – Robert Pattinson – and his human girlfriend, played by Kristen Stewart, embracing in a meadow, the couple - dating in real life - are then seen in Bella's bedroom, with the handsome vampire saying: "I know the consequences of this choice you're making."
Those who have read the Stephanie Meyer's books will know that Bella is determined to become a vampire also. Edward's love rival Jacob – played by actor Taylor Lautner – is also shown in the clip, telling Bella: "I'm going to fight for you until your heart stops beating. "And if that wasn't enough to tantalise devotees, it has been announced that the full trailer will be released on Friday.
While it is for his role in the franchise that Robert is best known, admirers of the English actor have the chance to take home a piece of the action from his most recent hit. According to People, items worn by the 23-year-old in his latest film, Remember Me, will be going under the hammer at auction on March 13.
Costumes including a blue Prada suit and slip-on Birkenstocks will be among the lots on live auction site icollector.com, alongside outfits from Sandra Bullock's Oscar-winning film, The Blind Side and Amy Adams' new film, Leap Year. With his acting career going from strength to strength, the London-born talent is also looking to expand into other areas of interest.
Having conquered the box office, he is now looking to top the charts with news he has plans to release an album. Busy writing tracks for his musical debut, Robert – who plays the guitar and piano – intends to have his CD recorded by early 2011."I want to do one at the end of the year," the English star, who sang Never Think on the soundtrack to Twilight, told the Sun."All my friends are recording albums and I'm very annoyed about it."
