It was the perfect way to celebrate Mother's Day. On Sunday, Sara Cox introduced her two-day-old baby daughter to the world as she left the hospital where she gave birth on Friday.
Beaming as she stepped outside with little Renee, who was snugly wrapped up in a grey blanket and a cream hat, the radio DJ was more than happy to pose for pictures with her youngest.
The newest addition to the family is already sporting a shock of brunette hair, and slept through her first public appearance, oblivious to all the attention as she was taken home by her mum.
Thirty-five-year-old Sara announced the arrival of her third child on Friday via her Twitter account."We had a beautiful baby girl at 8.30 this morning, she's called Renee – so happy," she wrote.The Bolton-born presenter is already mum to five-year-old Lola, her daughter with ex-husband Jon Carter, and two-year-old Isaac with partner Ben Cyzer.
On Saturday, Sara again took to her Twitter page to keep her fans up to date. "Still in hospital for 1 more night, not for medical reasons just cos it's so calm and lovely here and the midwives are ace. Plus the food is great," she said.It followed a message posted on Friday evening in which she revealed she had already introduced her daughter to one of Britain's best-loved soaps, Coronation Street."Renee watching her first Corrie, a crucial part of her heritage," she wrote.
