It was back in December 2008 that Suri Cruise’s love affair with the ballet first came to light. Back then, as a wide-eyed two-year-old, she accompanied mum Katie Holmes to see a production of the Nutcracker in New York, and found herself transfixed with the dancers’ intricate costumes and tutus.Fast forward 16 months and it seems not much has changed for the little girl.
This week she was spotted out and about in the Big Apple with her actress mother, wearing a full ballerina costume, from the pink tutu to her matching shoes, and carrying her princess umbrella.
Suri has been taking ballet lessons for some time now, and was still in her outfit as she headed out with Katie for dinner in the city.
And while her daughter, who turns four on April 18, is busy practising her pirouettes, Katie looks set to head back to the silver screen, with reports she is in negotiations to join the cast of a new crime thriller.
Son of No One – due for release in 2011 - stars Channing Tatum, Al Pacino and Ray Liotta, and, according to NBC, Katie “would play the wife of a young policeman (Tatum) who uncovers an explosive secret after he is assigned to the working-class neighbourhood where he grew up.”
