But this week, the Australian singer came face-to-face with her past – quite literally – as she stepped out as guest of honour at a jewellery store party.Appearing as an ambassador for Tous, Kylie was more than a little surprised to find herself clutching a retro jumper embellished with her own image.
The beige sweatshirt pictured the pop princess from her early years, and came as a stark contrast to the glamorous image by which she is known today.Those lauded current style credentials were perfectly illustrated by the beautiful coral gown Kylie wore to the London Regent Street bash.Designed by BodyAmr, the sexy number was daringly slashed to the thigh and featured a plunging neckline. And it certainly helped her stand out in a room full of celebrities, including Tess Daly, Tara Palmer-Tomkinson, Tamara Ecclestone and Gavin and Stacey's Mathew Horne, who helped Kylie show off her keepsake.
The London event came hot on the heels of a New York trip for the petite star, who has been busy promoting her new album Aphrodite.While in the Big Apple she appeared on several talk shows, and, on Wednesday, honoured Ricky Martin at the Amfar New York Inspiration Gala.
