One is a charismatic blonde who has entranced moviegoers with her leggy looks and playful streak for some time. The other, a striking brunette, regularly makes magazine covers around the world. And Tom Cruise obviously felt like a very lucky man to have both of them as his dates for the premiere of his latest movie in Seville, southern Spain.
The ladies in question – his co-star Cameron Diaz and wife Katie Holmes – had pulled out all the stops for the screening of Knight and Day. Having been friends for years, first working together on Vanilla Sky in 2001, the 47-year-old actor and his co-star had great fun during shoot, much of which took place in the Mediterranean country. Tom told Entertainment Tonight: ''We would come up on the set and we'd be like, 'What's Up? What's Up?' and punch each other on the arm." His co-star added: "Yeah, punching and kicking. I'd kind of like be playing around, and every once in a while after a long stretch of stunts, Tom would be like, 'No, no - not today'." Their death-defying stunts, involving running over rooftops and high-octane car chases, certainly required concentration and a taste for adrenalin. To prove he still has huge enthusiasm for the action, megastar Tom took a motorbike for a spin earlier in the day. Fans cheered in delight as he roared past the city's cathedral.
