Ever since Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie got together, their huge rainbow family - they have six children - has been a source of fascination to fans. And the youngsters are regularly pictured with their movie star parents.

But until recently little was known about what are arguably the most famous children in the world. Now the proud Hollywood supermum has shared insights about what makes each of her kids so special in an interview with Vanity Fair.

Her eldest, eight-year-old Maddox, was adopted from Cambodia by the movie icon before she met Brad. The little boy, she explained is "a real intellectual, which I can take no credit for genetically. He's great at school, great at history. He feels like he could be a writer or travel the world and learn about places and things".

Two more of Maddox's siblings are adopted: Pax, six, from Vietnam and five-year-old Zahara from Ethiopia. "She's got an extraordinary voice and is just so elegant and well-spoken," said her mum. Then there is Shiloh, four, whom she describes as "hysterically funny, one of the goofiest, most playful people you'll ever meet".

Twins Knox and Vivienne, nearly two, complete the Jolie-Pitt clan. "[They're] classic boy and girl. She's really female. And he's really a little dude". Despite the rumours of a pregnancy and her obvious liking of children, the mother of six says she's not expecting right now. "I'm not pregnant. We're not opposed to it. But we want to make sure we can give everybody special time.

"They're kids now, and can play together, but they're going to need a lot more talking in the middle of the night, like I did with my mom for hours.

"We want to make sure we don't build a family so big that we don't have absolutely enough time to raise them each really well."
