Legs & Co: Mini-mania as Charlotte Church and pals show off their sexy pins

October 26, 2010

It may have been about the music - but the Q Awards also gave the female celebrities a chance to show off their figures in thigh-skimming designs. Charlotte Church went for a flattering velvet mini-dress with playful sheer overlay and killer shoes. Following her shock split from Strictly contestant Gavin Henson, the Welsh lass has embarked on a new romance with writing partner Jonathan Powell.

And it seemed to show in her confident demeanour - though she did admit to feeling "out of the loop" about new musicians. "I feel a bit like my mother. That's quite sad. "I'm sure someone new, young and funky will tell me exactly who everybody is," quipped the 24-year-old wryly.

Meanwhile, Nadine Coyle, newly engaged and over on an extended stay from the States, brought a touch of LA style with her. Wearing a slip of a dress and a boyfriend blazer, she gave fans an eyeful of her endless, tanned legs. One of those Charlotte might have been referring to was award winner Florence Welch, who took best female and best track for You've Got The Love.Others having a good night included Take That who were making their first appearance at an industry do as a quintet.

Brimming with enthusiasm at being back in the fold, Robbie Williams helped the lads collect the 'hall of fame' prize for their years at the top. Veteran Paul McCartney, meanwhile, took the Q classic album award for Band On The Run by his group Wings - soon to be reissued 37 years after it was first released.
