It was the most speculated of celebrity pregnancies. Last week Mariah Carey finally confirmed that she was expecting her first baby with Nick Cannon, and she's been hitting the chat show circuit to talk about her big news. And it was during one such appearance that host George Lopez seemed to reveal that another songstress rumoured to be pregnant is indeed a mum-to-be – Beyonce Knowles. The apparent revelation came when the George recited a 'legacy message' for Mariah and Nick's unborn baby, which is expected in the spring. The TV personality – Sandra Bullock's best friend – began his rendition saying: "Baby Carey-Cannon, here's a little bit of advice from your uncle George Lopez."
"If you want to be like your mummy, when you cry you have to point to the ceiling when you hit the high notes… Soon you'll be saying your first words – mummy, daddy, Gucci, Gucci, Louboutin. "So good luck baby Carey-Cannon, you're gonna be fine – you're musical royalty. Plus I've already arranged for you to be married off to Beyonce and Jay-Z's unborn child. "George's reference follows numerous reports in the media last month that the Booytlicious star and her rapper husband are expecting their first child – rumours denied by Beyonce's mother.Meanwhile, Mariah revealed that America's Got Talent host Nick recently returned home with a bag full of flat shoes in an attempt to get his wife to ditch her trademark heels. "Nick got me all these flat shoes and is really trying to be responsible about it,' she said. "He came home with all these bags which was sweet and I'm looking at them trying to be nice about it because I'm a little specific about my stuff."
This week, blossoming Mariah, 41, also appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres Show where she revealed that she won't be going down the predictable route of painting the nursery pink for a girl and blue for a boy.But her host wasn't so sure. "When that baby comes out you're going to have high heels on it like immediately," the comedian quipped. "You're going to slip little tiny high heels shoes on that baby. "While it's wardrobe might have been up for discussion, the baby's sex wasn't.Asked by Ellen whether she could guess her child's gender, – neither parent knows - Mariah replied: "I would prefer not. Because imagine if you are a baby inside somebody's body. "Do you really want somebody imposing their sex ideas on you? Not really. I'm just saying. Would you want them to be like it's definitely a girl… would you?"
