With their time on the X Factor over, Belle Amie have stepped back into the spotlight with a high-profile red carpet outing.The quartet – Esther Campbell, Geneva Lane, Sophia Wardman and Rebecca Creighton - put in a glamorous appearance at the premiere of Due Date in London this week.
Every inch the super-stylish girl group, they were clearly enjoying their moment of fame.And it's little wonder. Belle Amie were at the screening alongside one of Hollywood's biggest names, Robert Downey Jr.The dapper Iron Man actor was joined by his wife Susan Downey – an executive producer on the film – and his two co-stars, The Hangover's Zach Galifianakis and Sonny, the French bulldog.
A surprise special guest also put in an appearance at the Leicester Square event to show his support for Robert – Sherlock Holmes director and friend Guy Ritchie.Due Date tells the story of father-to-be Peter Highman (played by Robert) who is forced to go on a road trip with aspiring actor Ethan Tremblay (Zach) in order to be with his wife when she gives birth.Talking about his role Robert said it was the "second greatest" film he has ever appeared in, saying: "That's largely due to Zach Galifianakis, who is crazy good in every scene, and Todd Phillips, who is one of the great American directors."
"I guarantee you're going to love it – I went to the last screening and people were literally saying 'Oh my god, it's gotta stop – my face hurts!'"Belle Amie were not the only former X Factor stars attending the premiere. Niccolo Festa – the first act to be voted off this series of the show – and John Adeleye were also there.
