In the past 11 years, Emma Watson has grown from a shy schoolgirl to a poised and elegant fully-fledged star.
That was evident as she strolled the red carpet with her Harry Potter co-stars Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint at the latest film's premiere in London on Thursday night. The 20-year-old actress put in a flawless appearance in a black Rafael Lopez lace and feathered dress.
It had been specially modified to include a shorter skirt section. She completed the look with Charlotte Olympia pumps, Solange Azagury Partridge jewels, and a Remembrance Day poppy. Commentators remarked that Emma has never looked so confident – clearly her bold new cropped hairstyle has worked wonders.
The British beauty, who is studying at university in America, said she felt "emotional" to see the end of the off the Potter films. "We are all so close and it was a great adventure but we all have to move on," added the star, who plays Hermione Grainger in the movies. The rest of the cast was out in force to launch Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1.
Helena Bonham Carter looked stunning in a metallic purple strapless dress. Younger cast members Katie Leung, who plays Cho Chang, and Bonnie Wright – aka Harry's girlfriend Ginny Weasley, were equally as glam. Thousands had camped out overnight - braving wind and rain – for a chance to see their idols in the flesh. As he arrived there were deafening screams for Daniel Radcliffe, a sound he said he had almost forgotten.
Stars turning up for a chance to see the film – which is released in the UK on November 19 – included Lisa Marie Presley and her musician husband Michael Lockwood.
X Factor presenter Konnie Huq was also there with some of the famous faces from the show.
