There's no denying she's a spellbinding actress.Little wonder then that Emma Watson managed to work her magic on a junior celebrity fan when she stopped off in New York to launch the latest Harry Potter film. The 20-year-old was introduced to James Wilke, the eight-year-old son of Sarah Jessica Parker. And the little boy looked delighted to be chatting to the actress.
Being a follower of fashion, Emma is a big fan of James' mum, whom she's met before. "Her son is a big Harry Potter fan; we've spoken on a number of occasions. She's a big fashion icon of mine," said the star. Emma is something of a trend-setter herself of course, as can be discerned by the outfit she wore for the Big Apple unveiling of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1.Not only was the silk halter neck created by Calvin Klein, but it had been designed especially for Emma. "I asked Calvin Klein if they would make a dress for me because I love their stuff and they did," she said.
Completing the look was a pair of Calvin Klein Collection black copper anklet sandals from the Spring 2011 collection, a jewelled hairclip and a golden floral bracelet. Emma joined her co-stars, including Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint, on the red carpet. But Daniel – aka Harry Potter – had some bad news for fans of the boy wizard series. According to him, there's no truth in reports there might be another book. JK Rowling told him as much – via text message – following the London premiere last week.
"Basically, it amounted to the fact that she felt I had been very good in this Harry Potter film, and as a reward for that, she wasn't going to [write] any more Harry Potter [books]," he told MTV news. Stars turning up to see the film - the penultimate movie in the series – included Precious actress Gabourey Sidibe and Madonna's teenage daughter Lourdes.
