It wasn’t long ago that Britney Spears was making headlines for all the wrong reasons. What a difference two years make. This week the 28-year-old pop star was snapped on a day out with her little boy Jayden James, looking healthy and happy as she enjoyed some time with her youngest child.
With the four-year-old in her arms, Britney treated Jayden to some frozen yoghurt following a special visit to a toy shop in sunny California. There was no sign of Jayden's big brother Sean Preston, five, although he's unlikely to have felt left out. The previous day he spent some one-on-one time with his mum visiting the same toy store.
Life has certainly settled down for Britney following her very public troubles 24-months ago. She has found lasting love with her former agent Jason Trawick, 38, whom she began dating in 2009. And this week it was revealed that her parents Jamie and Lynne Spears have reconciled eight years after they divorced.
Britney has a close relationship with both her mother and father – the latter remains in control of her vast fortune through a conservatorship established after her 2008 hospitalisation. With her home life providing much-needed stability and support, Britney has been working hard on her music career.
On Friday, the Womanizer star – who recently appeared on Glee - was spotted entering a recording studio, later tweeting: "Just finished recording a monster with @TheDoctorLuke and MaxMartin. Get ready – Britney."
Her agent Adam Leber also wrote: "Brit is recording a big big BIG new song on Friday with MaxMartin &TheDrLuke. I'm pretty sure it’s a smash!" It is thought that the new album – the follow-up to Britney's sixth studio album Circus, which was released in November 2008 - will hit shelves in early 2011.
