Hustle star Kelly Adams, who bears a striking resemblance to Kylie Minogue, has proved that not all celebrities are extravagant when it comes to their nuptials. When the 31-year-old tied the knot with fashion photographer Chris Kennedy, they say that the day only cost them around £200. Kelly’s mum paid for the meal and so their costs were mainly for the ceremony, which took place in Hackney Town Hall. The couple have shared their lovely wedding photos exclusively with HELLO!.

After the ceremony, they had a low-key lunch with family and friends in a local restaurant, before heading to a pub where they were joined by more friends including actors Matt Di Angelo and Jay Jacobs. “We really didn’t want it to be a big deal,” says Kelly, who did her own hair and make-up on the day. “It was very romantic, very fun and very us.” The bride had originally considered wearing jeans to the ceremony, but Chris talked her out of it. She found her 1950s silk dress in a vintage shop in Brighton just days before her special day. Kelly is not a traditionalist it seems and says she had always been quite against the idea of marriage. After changing her mind, she proposed to Chris when they were on a break in Bruges on his birthday. “Chris is very smug about the fact that I asked him,” she laughs. She doesn’t want children “just yet”. “Chris is only 26 and, as an actress, my thirties are the best years. In your twenties you spend your time playing babes, you won’t get so many gritty, amazing parts. So I’ll hang fire for a while.” While Kelly’s pretty features helped her win “babe” roles” in her twenties, they have also drawn comparisons with Australian singer Kylie Minogue, whom she imitated in an episode of Hustle. “People can come up to me every day,” she says. “But it only happens when I wear make-up.”
