The three times World Heavyweight Champion's wife Lonnie had something to say about that, however. "Now, wait a minute," she cautioned, with a huge grin.

After her acceptance speech Halle planted a kiss on the 69-year-old champ at the event in Phoenix.

The fundraiser, Charity Fight Night, raised proceeds for the Muhammad Ali Parkinson centre at St Joseph's hospital.

The event has raised $72 million since it began 17 years ago.
