A better actress couldn't have been chosen to portray Jackie Kennedy in the upcoming series The Kennedys. Sporting her trademark brown bob and power suits, Katie Holmes has the iconic first lady down to a T.
And the 32-year-old actress was finally able to promote the series at its Beverly Hills premiere on Monday night - following months of uncertainty over whether it would be aired.
The show was originally set to feature on the History Channel but was dropped by the network, after pressure from the Kennedy family. In a statement the network said: "While the film is produced and acted with the highest quality, after viewing the final product in its totality, we have concluded this dramatic interpretation is not fit for the History brand." Luckily, the series - which also stars Greg Kinnear as JFK - was picked up by a rival US network and is now set to air in Britain on BBC2 in the summer.
One man who has clearly supported Katie throughout the recent uncertainties is her husband of four years, Tom Cruise.
With their daughter Suri, four, tucked up in bed, the happy couple took the opportunity to spend some time together - facing the cameras affectionately hand-in-hand.
