Eva and Tony: The end of the matchDesperate Housewives star Eva Longoria has spoken for the first time about the end of her marriage to Tony Parker.The petite star was reduced to tears as she appeared on Piers Morgan Tonight, telling the TV host the whole experience had been "heartbreaking".
However, she said she bears Tony no ill will. "So many people want me to hate him and destroy him, but I don't want to. I want him to be happy. He's not a bad person," said Eva. "I do believe in forgiving and forgetting." The 36-year-old actress split from Tony last November after three years of marriage. There were claims he had been unfaithful with a team-mate's wife. Eva did not comment on the infidelity rumours during the hour long interview with Piers. She did say that she had "no regrets" about getting married or divorced, but revealed that one of the hardest things was trying to rediscover who she was after the separation. "I had such an identity in being Mrs Parker and when that's taken away from you it's hard," she explained. When Piers asked her to elaborate further, the star became tearful.
She apologised, saying: "This is the first time I've spoken about this [in public]." Since splitting with 28-year-old Tony, Eva has been linked to Penelope Cruz's brother Eduardo. The pair have been snapped smooching on a date and the Spanish hunk has even been spotted with a tattoo of Eva's name on his arm. The brunette star is looking to the future - and says she wants to continue with Desperate Housewives for "as long as it keeps going. "She is currently studying for a masters in Chicano (Mexican studies) and political science, and says she has reached a stage in her life where she has a 'thirst' to learn more.
