After an on-off labour lasting three days, Holly Willoughby finally gave birth on Thursday to a little girl, Belle Baldwin. And the This Morning host took to Twitter to share her and husband Dan's joy with eagerly waiting fans. "Thank you for all your support these last few days. Belle Baldwin finally arrived at 5.10pm today weighing 5lbs 2oz. She’s amazing,” she tweeted.
Holly had been due to give birth on May 13. But she pulled out of presenting her ITV show and was taken to hospital on Tuesday after her contractions came a month early. And sitting by her side to show her full support was best friend Fearne Cotton, who posted a picture of herself on Twitter pretending to puff on a gas and air machine. Fearne also jokily tweeted: "Just at the hospital checking in on Holly who is still in labour. Don't worry I'm fine."
Meanwhile, Holly's co-host Phillip Schofield took to updating her fans via Twitter, saying: "Everyone is fine and happy but the wait goes on. I'll let you know if I hear anything else." And last night, he finally tweeted to confirm the happy news: "Holly doing well and a baby girl is also doing well. Weighing in at 5lbs 2oz – tiny but a beauty!" Holly and TV producer Dan Baldwin are also parents of son Harry, who turns two next month.
