Ellie and Vincent both fired by Lord Sugar in shock double 'Apprentice' eviction

June 2, 2011

Not one but two candidates were sent home in this week's dramatic episode of The Apprentice. Ellie Reid and Vincent Disneur were both sent packing by Lord Sugar after their team, Logic, lost an advertising task to market pet food.Team leader Vincent elected to take Ellie and fellow contestant Natasha Scribbins into the boardroom, despite Jim Eastwood being a prime mover in the task.

Ellie was the first to go, after failing to make enough of an impression in the competition.

Lord Sugar then turned to sales manager Vincent and told him he had brought the wrong people into the boardroom. "I've got the feeling that you are too in awe of other people and that you are playing a bit of a risky game in strategizing…so I think a message needs to go back that, Vincent – You're also fired."

The 29-year-old later admitted his surprise at the double elimination."…I thought I would be ok," he said. "I thought he was going to send us back to the house, have a go at me and say 'pick it up' and go from there, but he made the decision to fire me as well. "Speaking to HELLO! after her exit from the hit reality show, 33-year-old Ellie – who has backed Melody, Natasha or Helen to win - said she was pleased to hear Vincent had suffered the same fate.

"I felt justified because I guess he was probably pretty smug when I got fired," she said. "He took me and Natasha in strategically – or didn’t take Jim in who deserved to get fired. So yeah, he deserved to get fired for that."
