Gwyneth Paltrow's winning streak on the red carpet continues. The actress hit the Venice Film Festival on Saturday evening wearing a blush pink Prada gown with an organza bow detail. She teamed the stunning dress with a Prada clutch bag and matching patent peep-toe platform heels also by the label.
Clearly a devotee of the Italian fashion house - founded in neighbouring Milan - Gwyneth stepped out for a photo call earlier that same day in a modern thigh-skimming orange Prada frock.
But her glamorous evening ensemble was a classic red carpet affair, reminiscent of the taffeta Ralph Lauren gown she wore when she received her best actress Oscar for Shakespeare in Love in 1999.
Gwyneth, 38, was in town to unveil her latest film, Contagion, alongside co-star Matt Damon. She posed alongside the 40-year-old actor – with whom she previously starred with in The Talented Mr Ripley – and his wife Luciana Barroso, who sparkled in a beautiful sequinned Gustavo Cadile dress.
The star-studded thriller – also featuring Marion Cotillard, Kate Winslet, Jude Law and Laurence Fishburne - follows the progress of a deadly airborne virus which starts when Gwyneth's character, Beth, is infected at an airport.
Her performance certainly made an impression on Matt, who recently said of the star: "More so than anybody I've ever worked with, she's got an ability to turn it on and off. "Like she can be talking about anything and then when they say 'Rolling', she snaps, she just locks in, in a way that I don’t understand because I can't do it. "I've worked with a lot of great actors, and one thing that happens for me is that a great actor is so good that they pull me right in," he told Access Hollywood."That's how I feel when I do a scene with her. I'm instantly brought in because she takes me there."
