Cheryl creates a buzz with big beehive as she puts 'X Factor' firmly behind her

September 20, 2011

Hot on the heels of Sarah Harding's catwalk debut at LFW, Cheryl Cole has fully launched herself into the world of fashion. On Monday evening, the Girls Aloud singer stepped out for a party marking her collaboration with online fashion accessory site Stylistpick. And she was out to make a big impression. Cheryl teased her hair into a big beehive, held back with a gold hair band, as she attended the bash, held at the Olivier National Theatre.

She had slipped into a scarlet satin rouched dress, with draping detail and cut-away panels, and wore vertiginous beige suede heels. Cheryl has teamed up with the website to launch her own line of shoes, and her first capsule collection will be available from December.

The range is just a part of a wider collaboration between the 28-year-old and Stylistpick. She will also choose her favourite pieces from their monthly collection and will share style tips.

Clearly excited about the new venture, Cheryl tweeted a picture of herself enjoying a cocktail from inside the event, accompanied by the caption: "It's shoe time…Haha!"

She was supported at the launch party by fellow fashionista and band mate Nicola Roberts, who cosied up with her friend inside the event.Cheryl's foray into fashion shows just how far she has come since she was axed from the US X Factor's judging panel.Putting the fiasco firmly behind her, she has bounced back by forging ahead with her career - which seemingly also includes a return to the spotlight with Girls Aloud. This week, they teased fans by posting a mysterious photograph on Twitter. In the pic, four of the members can be seen in a mirror, their faces covered by their mobile phones, fuelling reports the band is preparing to return from their hiatus. But one member is noticeably absent.

On closer inspection, Cheryl, Nicola, Sarah and Kimberley Walsh appear in the snap, but Nadine Coyle is nowhere to be seen. The picture was posted by both Nicola and Cheryl on their Twitter accounts, Nicola accompanying her photo with the message: "Girls night in…x!Cheryl quickly followed suit, with the caption: "Love my girlies".It is thought that the girls' reunion performance will take place at the 2012 Olympics.Just last year it was reported that because of their strained relations with Nadine, the band were considering reforming without her.But a spokesperson denied the claims, saying they had signed the deal for their next album as a five-piece.

Cheryl has found great success as a solo artist – Nicola is currently forging her own successful music career, and is about to release the third single from her debut album. And, like Sarah who just finished filming her first major movie role, she has turned her hand to acting, filming a cameo in Hollywood romcom, What To Expect When You're Expecting. With plenty going on in her professional life, Cheryl also recently found the time to show her support for troops in Afghanistan. The new forces sweetheart, she has just returned from a trip to the war-torn region, where she filmed a special tribute to frontline troops.
