Elisabetta Canalis quickstepped off Dancing With The Stars on Tuesday. The Italian siren – who recently split from Hollywood heart-throb George Clooney – was eliminated from the US show, despite her third-place finish on Monday's episode. "For me, it was a gift every day staying here. It was a great adventure," the 33-year old actress said after hearing the outcome.
"I want to thank everybody because they made me come here. Thanks to the public and to everybody who voted for us. "Now, I am really nervous, but thank you anyway. It was a great experience." She and professional partner Val Chmerkovskiy earned 21 points out of 30 for their quickstep routine – a six-point improvement on their debut dance. But the judges' scores are combined with viewers' votes to determine which celebrity is ousted each week.
And sadly, the couple failed to convince the fans.
On the other hand, fellow contestant Ricki Lake had a lot to celebrate this week.The actress came top of the leader board with 23 points – and she's also shed some weight. "I'm really getting in great shape," she said after the show. "I'll be wearing less and less clothing. The smaller I get, the less will be covered. "Meanwhile, Chas Bono flopped with a total of just 17 points and was berated by judge Len Goodman for his quickstep.
