Big bids make Alicia Keys' Black Ball huge success

Alicia Keys raised $401,500 at her star-studded Black Ball and celebrity auction. The star holds the annual function to raise money for HIV and AIDS victims in Africa and India.

At the auction, a dinner party with Edward Norton and Naomi Watts went for $25,000, while a lifetime membership to all Donald Trump golf properties sold at $180,000.The event honoured Keep A Child Alive's commitment to India, showing videos of children in the country battling with HIV and being kicked out of their homes as a result. The late Beatles guitarist George Harrison was also honoured.During the evening, Alicia was joined on stage by Usher, Richie Sambora, Norah Jones and Will.I.Am amongst others.

She closed the night with Black Eyed Peas' leader will.i.am, singing Fergie's verse on the hit I Gotta Feeling, which had Alicia's mother and brother dancing happily on stage. "Still BUZZIN off of #Blackball 2nite!Artists BLAZED! Forever grateful to everyone who cares about @keepachildalive !!! And every1 at @keepachildalive For EVERY DAY!!Sending love and light!!," she later tweeted.
