His wife Beyonce has only just given birth, but rapper and lyricist Jay-Z has wasted no time in penning his feelings about their newborn daughter, Blue Ivy.  A song called Glory made its debut on his social website two days after the new arrival was welcomed into the world. Referring to his little girl, Jay-Z touchingly sings that "my greatest creation was you" before the track ends to the sound of a baby's cries - thought to be his daughter's.

The song also reveals that the child was conceived in Paris- and that Beyonce previously suffered a loss.

"Last time the miscarriage was so tragic/We was afraid you'd disappear/But nah baby you magic," raps Jay-Z  Meanwhile, the proud parents stated their joy in a more official capacity on Beyonce's website. "We are happy to announce the arrival of our beautiful daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, born on Saturday, January 7, 2012. "Her birth was emotional and extremely peaceful, we are in heaven," a joint statement read. "She was delivered naturally at a healthy 7 lbs and it was the best experience of both of our lives.

"We are thankful to everyone for all your prayers, well wishes, love and support." Now that their dream of parenthood has finally come true, the superstar couple are wasting no time in introducing little Blue to the life of luxury. Reports suggest they have already splashed out around £1 million on A-list baby essentials. "They’ve bought a Swarovski-studded high chair by Carla Monchen for £10,000, and a Fantasy 'posh tots' coach carriage crib for £30,000", a source told Star magazine. "They’ve got baby charm bracelets, gold and platinum diamond rattles and dummies from Tiffany & Co, too".

 Excerpt from Jay-Z's Glory

The most amazing feeling I feel, Words can’t describe what I’m feeling for real Baby,

I paint the sky blue, My greatest creation was you

You, you, glory False alarms and false starts

All made better by the sound of your heart

All the pain of the last time

I prayed so hard it was the last time

Your mama said you danced for her

Did you wiggle your hands for her?

Glory, Glory, Glory Sorry, Everything that I prayed for

God’s gift I wish I woulda prayed more

God makes no mistakes,

I made a few Rough sled in here and there

but I made it through I wreak havoc on the world

Get ready for part two

A younger, smarter, faster me

So a pinch of Hov, a whole glass of B

Glory, yeah The most amazing feeling I feel,

Words can’t describe what I’m feeling for real

Baby, I paint the sky blue,

My greatest creation was you
