Award season has started with a bang. And who better to bring the glamour to town than George Clooney and his blonde bombshell girlfriend, Stacy Keibler. The pair swept along the red carpet at the National Board of Review Awards in New York on Tuesday night where they both went home winners.
George, for picking up the accolade of best actor for The Descendants and Stacy for outshining once again in the style stakes. Her long black Marchesa dress with bejewelled neckline made the most of the former wrestler's lithe figure. An elegant up do and a slick of killer red lipstick completing the look. The actor and his girlfriend of six months looked relaxed in each others' company and seemed to be enjoying the success and acclaim that George has been lapping up on the awards rounds.
Last year saw him command the director’s chair in The Ides of March, as well as his usual slew of leading roles in films such as The Descendents. And the two films have come up trumps, with the star tipped for a Golden Globe to sit next to the gongs he already has. Also attending the awards was girl of the moment, Rooney Mara, who won Best Breakthrough Performance, and British actress Tilda Swinton, who won Best Actress for her role in We Need to Talk About Kevin.
