Last week Thor actor Chris Hemsworth was nominated in the BAFTAs newcomer category. And now the Australian star has received even more good news – his wife Elsa Pataky is pregnant with their first child. The stunning Spanish actress revealed the news exclusively to our sister publication, ¡HOLA!, saying she and Chris were "delighted and very excited".
"Having the person that you love by your side and starting a family with them is the best thing that can happen to you in this life. You can’t ask for more" she added. The happy news comes a year after Elsa, who famously dated Adrien Brody and Olivier Martinez, wed Chris on the sun-kissed shores of his native Australia. Chisel-jawed Chris, who stands 6ft 3in tall, shot to prominence after bringing life to muscle-bound comic hero Thor in last year's blockbuster. As well as having two actor parents, the new arrival will also be a 'niece' or 'nephew' for Miley Cyrus – whose partner is Chris' brother, Liam Hemsworth. It may also be the beginning of a new Hollywood brood to rival that of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. "I want to have a big family, and so does Chris. My dream is to have more than one child," the mum-to-be revealed. The baby is due in the spring.
