Demi Moore has been rushed to hospital after an emergency 911 call was placed from her home on Tuesday evening. Her publicist Carrie Gordon said that the actress had been admitted due to “the stresses in her life”. “Demi has chosen to seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health" she said in a statement.
"She looks forward to getting well and is grateful for the support of her family and friends." The representative gave no further details about the nature or location of the G.I. Jane star's treatment. The past few months have been challenging for Demi, who is in the middle of divorce proceedings from Ashton Kutcher following rumours of infidelity. She was also dealt another blow when she lost her long-time friend, Pattsy Rugg, in December. The Two And A Half Men actor called to offer his condolences, as soon as he heard the sad news. However, it’s not known if Ashton has been in touch this time, as he has been in Sao Paulo from where he tweeted a picture of himself surfing in the street.
His estranged wife has struggled to cope with their separation, despite her reputation as a true Hollywood survivor.Demi has appeared very slender recently and in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar she openly discussed her weight, admitting that she had a “love-hate relationship” with her body. Family and work have helped her through her difficult period. She was recently cast as renowned feminist Gloria Steinem in Lovelace, a biopic about adult film actress Linda Lovelace. However, following her recent hospital admission, her representative has revealed that she will no longer be working on the project.
