Amanda Holden beamed with joy as she made her return to Britain's Got Talent at the weekend following the birth of her second daughter Hollie Rose. And if she's feeling the effect of sleepless nights, the 40-year-old certainly wasn't showing it.
Wearing an orange blouse, her hair perfectly coiffured, Amanda looked radiant – if not a little overwhelmed by the warm welcome she received from the crowd. There were hugs and kisses all round as the star was reunited with her fellow judges Alicia Dixon, David Walliams and Simon Cowell. But within minutes she was already making jokes at the head judge's expense. 'The baby's got Simon's hair!" she laughed. "I am looking forward to introducing Hollie to everyone on my next trip, teaching Simon how to change dirty nappies and leaving them both to discuss her trust fund." The trio had come armed with gifts for the new arrival - Alesha and David presented her with a donkey, and Simon gave her a giant bear. Amanda said of her return: "I am euphoric to be heading back to my place at the judges desk - to be honest after the last couple of weeks I'm euphoric to be anywhere." The blonde actress was left in a critical condition following Hollie's January 23 birth, and spent several days in intensive care. Amanda is thought to have needed a blood transfusion after Hollie was delivered by Caesarean section.
