Brad spent a year designing Angelina's engagement ring

April 13, 2012

After a seven-year romance and six children together, Angelina Jolie has agreed to become Mrs Brad Pitt.On Friday, jeweller Robert Procop, who helped the Hollywood goddess create her 'Style of Jolie' line, said he had designed an engagement ring for her following instructions from the Moneyball actor. "Brad had a specific vision for this ring, which he realised over a year long collaboration with Robert," said the jeweller in a statement.

"He wanted every aspect of it to be perfect. So Robert located a diamond of the finest quality and cut it to an exact custom size and shape to suite Angelina's hand. "Brad was always heavily involved, overseeing every aspect of the creative design evolution," the statement continues. "The side diamonds are specially cut to encircle her finger. Each diamond is of the highest gem quality. "The happy news was later confirmed by the super couple's spokesperson. "Yes, it's confirmed," Brad's manager Cynthia Pett-Dante told People. "It is a promise for the future and their kids are very happy. There’s no date set at this time."

The 36-year-old beauty was first spotted wearing the ring on April 11 when she attended a private viewing at the LA County Museum of Art's Chinese Galleries with her fiancé and their eldest son Maddox.Brad, 48, recently revealed he was "getting a lot of pressure from the kids" to get married. "It means something to them," he added. "We will [get married] someday, we will. It's a great idea. 'Get mommy a ring.' 'Okay, I will, I will.'
