Explosive new memoir reveals Simon's 'genuine love' for Dannii

April 16, 2012

The sizzling on-screen chemistry between Simon Cowell and Dannii Minogue kept fans of the X Factor rapt during previous seasons of the show. And now explosive claims have emerged that the two judges enjoyed a relationship with one another shortly after Dannii joined the show in 2007.

During a series of interviews for Simon's biography, Sweet Revenge: The Intimate Life Of Simon Cowell, the mogul apparently admits to falling for his colleague’s charms. "I had a crush on her. It was Dannii’s hair, the sexy clothes," the 52-year-old said.

"I was like a schoolboy. She was foxy. She was a real man's girl. Very feminine. It was genuine love." The revelation comes as Dannii continues to deal with demise of her relationship with Kris Smith – with whom she has a 21-month-old son, Ethan. Representatives for the former singer have refused to comment on the claims.

However, Simon himself made a light-hearted reference to reports on his Twitter page, saying: "Just seen the TV ad for the unauthorised book on me. Yikes!"

The tell-all book also reveals the true fate of his relationship with make-up artist Mezghan Hussainy, which has never ended officially.

The supremo apparently called off his engagement to the striking brunette after work commitments and lingering friendships with his former girlfriends put a strain on their union.

He now plans to gift Mezghan his sprawling £5 million Beverly Hills mansion in a bid make amends for their failed romance.
