Excitement is mounting in Pakistan as they get their own HELLO! Magazine - the first time in the country's history that an international magazine has been published there. Determined to cover the great side of Pakistani life as an antidote to the often negative news that is frequently covered from that part of the world, the CEO of HELLO! Pakistan Zahraa Assad Saifullah Khan says, "We want to reshape the country’s image, develop a ‘progressive’ brand and outlook.

"Incidentally, Pakistan could certainly use some positive reporting to override the political overtones of our country’s global image. It’s now necessary to promote and highlight the vibrancy of our culture, the achievements of our notable personalities and achievers that make waves both at home and abroad. The world ought to also see a less politically nuanced and lighter side of the country, its cultural wealth and an absolute goldmine of talent," she continued.

Launched on April 14, 2012 as a monthly, HELLO! Pakistan's first issue has an exclusive interview and photoshoot with Sean Penn plus coverage of Fashion Showcase 2012 - which was attended by internationally-recognised designers such as Agatha Ruiz de la Prada. Focus is also put on local talent - such as recent Oscar winner Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy whose documentary Saving Face has won international acclaim. Two days after their launch, HELLO! Pakistan had already been sold out in all shops in Karachi and Islamabad, with frantic re-stocking to meet demand.

We are delighted to have them in the growing group of HELLO! and ¡HOLA! magazines around the world, who, aside from the founding HOLA! Spain and HELLO! UK already include Russia, Greece, the Middle East, Canada, Turkey, Thailand, Mexico, Malaysia, India, Serbia, Morocco, Indonesia, Argentina, Peru, Bulgaria, Ecuador and Puerto Rico.
