With excitement at fever pitch following the announcement they are to wed, you can't blame Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie for wanting to get away from it all.Hollywood's favourite couple have touched down in the idyllic Galapagos Islands with their six children.
A source in the mayor's office of Santa Cruz – the main island of the 18 in the arpeggio – told People: "We were informed that they arrived at the airport in Baltra. Then they made their way over to a villa in the Galapagos Islands." The family of eight were snapped by locals arriving on their private jet. They are said to have boarded a luxury yacht to get to the exclusive Royal Palm Hotel resort, which is nestled in the lush highlands of Santa Cruz Island. A haven of natural beauty, the Galapagos Islands, situated in the eastern Pacific ocean are world-renowned for their abundant wildlife- much of which was inspiration for Charles Darwin's Theory of Natural Selection. Brad and Angelina have visited during peak time for wildlife tours, so they can easily get the chance to walk among giant tortoises in the wild, or watch sealions playing in the pristine turquoise seas.
