Actor Jason Durr and his wife Kate have spoken for the first time of their extraordinary family set up after an emotional face to face with their twins' 'egg mummy'. And in a further sensational twist, former Heartbeat actor Jason reveals that some of the spare embryos he and Brooke created were donated to a New York couple - who have also gave birth to twins. "It was one of our dearest hopes to create a family with children," Kate told HELLO! as she, Jason, Brooke, their twins and older daughter Blossom, seven, played happy families. "Not only have we managed to achieve that for ourselves, we've also given another couple the happiness of becoming parents. It's the most profound thing in the world. "Brooke, a 28 year old psychology graduate from California, who was adopted along with her identical twin sister when they were three years old, said she wanted to help couples struggling with fertility because of her own background. "It had nothing to do with financial gain, but everything to do with an overwhelming desire to give something back as a result of my upbringing," she said.Remarkably, Jason, Kate and Brooke have opted to keep in touch, and make sure that 'egg mummy' Brooke has regular contact with Felix and Velvet.

"I love the twins, but not in a maternal way," says Brooke. "I love them as members of my family. There's no confusion over who's who: they call me Brooke, although they're too young to understand what egg donor means yet. "Jason and Kate also plan to introduce the twins born in New York – also conceived using Brooke's eggs - to their genetic brother and sister, Felix and Velvet, in the near future. "A couple, some friends of friends, were desperate for a child," Jason explains. "So we gave them some of the nine embryos that Brooke and I made together. "We were overwhelmed when they, too, had twins. They're a few months old now, but one day, when they're older, we'll visit them and introduce them to their genetic brother and sister.
