How baby Pearl is keeping Jack Osbourne focused after Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis

June 21, 2012

As Jack Osbourne bravely faces up to the devastating diagnosis he has Multiple Sclerosis, his baby daughter Pearl has been a massive help. "It's been good because I haven't had time to be like, 'Oh, I have MS,' because I have to change diapers and stop the baby from crying," he says.

Jack joined his mum Sharon Osbourne on The Talk – the show on which the former X Factor judge broke down earlier this week when her co-hosts asked after her son. The reality TV star was also joined by his fiancée Lisa Stelly, who has helped him maintain a positive outlook following the sad news. Jack showed he hasn't lost his sense of humour during the trying time. "You guys are acting like I have MS or something," Jack joked as he entered the studio to cheers from the audience. The 26-year-old said that one of the hardest parts of his condition is the uncertainty.

"I'm learning that one minute you can be fine, and the next I went blind in my right eye," said the reality TV star "It’s a completely unpredictable disease." Jack, who broke the news of his shocking diagnosis in this week's HELLO! magazine, says he got 80 percent of his right-eye vision back. "They don't know if it will ever improve beyond that, but everyone’s different," he said.
