Johnny Depp is apparently preparing to give up to half of his £200 million fortune to Vanessa Paradis in what will be the biggest settlements involving an unmarried couple. After months of denials the pair announced on Tuesday that they have called time on their 14 year relationship.
The Dark Shadows star is said to be handing over £100 million in a bid to keep the break up amicable for the sake of the couple's two children, Lily Rose, 13, and nine-year-old Jack. Johnny, who earned £50 million in 2010 alone, has an extensive property portfolio. The couple raised their kids at their farm in Plan-de-la-Tour in southern France, and Johnny owns a house in the Paris suburbs. He also purchased an island in the Bahamas and splashed out on an apartment in Venice after falling in love with it when he filmed The Tourist there with Angelina Jolie. In recent years the couple moved their family from France to an eight-bedroom Hollywood Hills mansion. It was the strain of leaving Vanessa's home country after Johnny's profile rocketed due to his role in Pirates of the Carribean which is said to have shook the foundation of their romance. Johnny owns his own apartment in LA, and is said to have hosted a party for pals including Dave Grohl and Sir Paul McCartney. Meanwhile Vanessa was spotted house hunting in Beverly Hills last month, looking at properties worth more than £5 million.
