As she enters a new chapter of her life, Katie Holmes is forging ahead with her career. The Dawson's Creek actress, currently in the process of divorcing Tom Cruise, is making a return to Broadway this autumn, starring in the dark comedy Dead Accounts.
She will play Lorna, a woman looking for answers about her brother's surprising return home.
The new show, directed by Tony Award-winning Jack O'Brien, will play at the Music Box Theatre. Further cast members are yet to be announced. Katie made her Broadway debut in 2008 Arthur Miller's All My Sons alongside John Lithgow, Dianne Wiest and Patrick Wilson.
As news of the 33-year-old star's new project surfaced, Katie was reunited with her daughter Suri, who had spent a few days with her father. The pair apparently took a helicopter ride to the Hamptons.
