Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have apparently began preparations for a family party at their sprawling French hideaway prompting suggestions that they are due to marry in the next few weeks.Their estate Chateau Miraval is a hive of activity, reports The Sun. The cover story for the buzz around the £35-million mansion is a bash to celebrate the 50th wedding anniversary of Brad's parents, Jane and Bill.
But reports suggest this could actually be the moment their fans have been waiting for ever since the Moneyball star presented the mother of his six children with a $500,000 diamond ring. "Brad flew in to oversee preparations, but they're all here now," a source told the newspaper. "They say it’s for Jane and Bill, but some think this could be it. Even Angelina's private jeweller is here." The source added: "There’s a real buzz around the estate." A 1,000-acre Gallic hideaway nestled in the beautiful Provence countryside, Miraval would be the perfect place for the couple to celebrate their wedding in private. Though it's likely that the actual service would take place in the town hall with the mayor presiding.
French law states that a civil union must take place for a marriage to be considered legal. Celebrity guests may include Brad's best pal George Clooney, who usually spends most of the summer at his Italian holiday home on the shores of Lake Como.
Their children will, no doubt, also play a pivotal role. After all, it was the youngsters that were the catalyst for their engagement, with Brad, 48, saying he was "getting a lot of pressure from the kids" to get married. That gentle nudge from his sons and daughters led him to commission the custom-made ring from jeweller Robert Procop in a secret year-long project.
