Grammy-award-winning star saxophonist Kenny G files for divorce

Grammy-award-winning Jazz saxophonist Kenny G is ending his marriage to Balynda Helene Benson-Gorelick after 20 years.

Court records show that Kenny, whose full name is Kenneth Gorelick, filed for divorce on Thursday citing irreconcilable differences.

The 55-year-old American musician married Balynda in April 1992 and the couple have two sons, Max, 16, and 14-year-old Noah.

The records also show that Kenny is seeking joint custody of his children, but does not want to pay his estranged wife spousal support.

The couple have been separated since Balynda filed for separation in January. But the case has not proceeded.

Kenny was launched to fame in 1986 after the release of his fourth album, Duotones. He won a Grammy Award for his 1993 album Forever In Love.The Seattle-born star is worth an estimated $50 million and has his own line of saxophones called the "Kenny G saxophone"Recently Kenny appeared in Katy Perry's music video for Last Friday Night having contributed to the song. He has also collaborated with artists such as Whitney Houston, Frank Sinatra and Andrea Bocelli.
