Irish actor Chris O'Dowd has married TV presenter Dawn Porter in what she described as a "three day love fest. "On Sunday Chris tweeted a photo of himself and his new wife in matching "onesie" tracksuits, along with the message "Just married!!!!"
The 32-year-old Bridesmaids star later tweeted another photo saying: "Night 3 of WedFest. Amazing, tipsy, tired but beautiful vagabonds." Spirited Dawn had previously hinted that the event would be full of fun, telling HELLO!: "I am thinking of it in terms of a party rather than a wedding really. We are trying to keep it as informal and fun as possible. I can't stand the formalities of weddings,"
On Sunday fellow TV presenter Cherry Healey tweeted her excitement for the happy couple using their Twitter names: "Massive congratulations to @hotpatooties (Dawn) & @BigBoyler (Chris) - an incredible wedding, so joyful & mojito-ful. So much love to you both xx. "The duo met on Dawn's 30th birthday, but as she had been working in LA for four years she had never seen her husband-to-be in Channel 4 hit comedy The IT Crowd. Dawn, now 33, said "he was the best birthday present I've ever had. It was instant. He walked up to me at my party, and I just said oh my God." "I remember his big smiling face, and his big long arms wrapping around me and introducing himself in a hot Irish accent, and then he was gone. And I spent the rest of the night thinking where did that man go?" Chris, who recently starred in The Sapphires, an Australian film in which he plays the manager of an all Aboriginal girl-band, is now filming all over the world. On Monday it seemed Dawn is still in the party mood after she tweeted " Oooooo, just remembered I have a room full of presents. *Forgets headache*. I like being a wife."
