The rumour mill went into overdrive this week after speculation that songstress Adele had secretly tied the knot with fiancé Simon Konecki.
The stories began to circulate after the Rolling in the Deep singer was spotted wearing a gold wedding band, with US publication Life&Style reporting the couple had tied the knot.
A source told the magazine: "Adele and Simon managed to keep the baby news a secret for so long that there are rumours they’ve already gotten married, too. She’s an old-fashioned girl and can’t wait to be part of a family unit. She just wants to focus on the baby and the man she loves."
However, on Thursday the Someone Like You star put an end to the rumours by tweeting: "I'm not married... Zzzzzzz."
It's the first time the notoriously guarded singer has spoken about her private life since announcing her pregnancy on June 29.
Six months into her pregnancy, Adele wrote on her website that she wanted fans heard the news from her.
She said: "I am delighted that Simon and I are expecting our first child together.
"I wanted you to hear the news directly from me, obviously we're over the moon. Yours always, Adele."
Adele met eco-business owner Simon, through a mutual friend. She was recovering from vocal chord surgery at the time.
The pair have been together since last June and now live in a £7 million mansion in Sussex.
Simon also has a five-year-old daughter from his previous marriage to fashion stylist Clary Fisher.
