After years in the US, singer Robbie Williams and his heavily pregnant wife Ayda Field have flown home to Britain for a very special reason – the birth of their first child. American Ayda is expecting the couple's little girl any day now, and according to friends, the patriotic dad wants his little princess to be born on British soil and have a UK passport.
Three weeks ago, the Take That star hired a private jet – complete with a full medical team – to usher his "two girls" back home. While they now wait excitedly to add to their family, the couple decided to enjoy one last night of freedom at the GQ Awards on Tuesday evening. Robbie was there to collect the Icon gong, and larked around with double gold Olympian Mo Farah, recreating the sportsman's famous 'Mobot' for the cameras.
For her part, Ayda covered her bump in a sleek black dress. No accessories were necessary – her wide smile and maternal glow punctuated her radiant look perfectly. Robbie's band mate Gary Barlow was also present, and went home with the Outstanding Achievement Award. The music titan continues to soldier on with work commitments and public appearances following the loss of his daughter Poppy, who was still born at eight months.
