Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood has said he is "saddened" by his ex wife Jo Wood's decision to auction off some of their possessions, including their old marital bed. Other items going under the hammer include two Fender Stratocaster guitars, assorted Rolling Stones memorabilia Jo has collected over the years and clothes Ronnie wore on tour.
The sale, which is being managed by Julien's Auctions in Beverly Hills and will take place on October 27, is listed as "Property from the Collection of Ronnie and Jo Wood".
But Ronnie's spokesperson said: "Ronnie was asked by Jo some time ago if he wished to add some items to an auction and he said he did not want to participate. "He is therefore shocked and disappointed that this auction is being misrepresented as a joint sale. This is not the case. "Ronnie feels saddened that Jo has taken this course of action and wants the public to know he has not teamed up with Jo on this outrageous sale." Jo's spokesperson said: "This is Jo's auction. It includes all the items left to her following the divorce. "She's had everything in storage for three years and can't keep it any longer. Ronnie has been kept in the loop of the sale."
The 65-year-old guitarist and Jo parted company after 23 years of marriage in July 2008, shortly after Ronnie began a relationship with Russian cocktail waitress Ekaterina Ivanova.
