Rehearsals for 'Strictly's' spooktacular Halloween special

The scariest night of the year has taken over hit BBC show Strictly Come Dancing as rehearsals are underway for Saturday night's show, which promises to be spooktacular. The remaining competitors were photographed practising for a group dance set to Michael Jackson's single Thriller.Now in its fourth week the competition is hotting up after model Jerry Hall hung up her dancing shoes last week. Judges, Craig Revel Horwood, Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Darcey Bussell were all left unimpressed by Jerry and her partner Anton Du Beke's quickstep and she was forced to leave the show.

Anton and Jerry found themselves in a dance-off with fellow contestant retired England cricket captain Michael Vaughan and his partner Natalie Lowe after their cha cha earned them a similar low position on the leader board.Mum-of-four Jerry was the second celebrity to leave the show, which is now in its 10th series, after mathematician and presenter Johnny Ball was eliminated in week two.Victoria Pendleton and her partner Brendan Cole, who is soon to become a dad for the first time, sparked intruige about Saturday's Halloween-based show when 32-year-old Victoria revealed she would be performing as a corpse bride.

Gymnast Louis Smith will also take on a themed transformation, turning into a zombie for his tango to Rihanna's Disturbia. Whilst Sid Owen will dress up as a Ghostbuster to perform to the iconic 1980's film theme tune.Also still vying for that coveted glitterball trophy are Westlife's Nicky Byrne, TV presenter Fern Britton, Girls Aloud star Kimberley Walsh, Emmerdale actress Lisa Riley, West End performer Denise Van Outen, journalist Richard Arnold, Tracy Beaker actress Dani Harmer and actor Colin SalmonThe contestants and their respective professional partners will compete against each other to Halloween themed tunes before hosts Bruce Forsyth and Tess Daly annouce the latest celeb to be eliminated on Sunday night.
